Brixton, Streatham, Clapham, Norbury and West Norwood. Boiler service £70, CP12 £70, repairs from £80 including the first hour. Gas Safe registered #585424.
Regular work across SW2 (Brixton, Tulse Hill), SW4 (Clapham), SW16 (Streatham, Norbury), SW9 (Stockwell), SW8 (Vauxhall) and SE27 (West Norwood). I'm based in Croydon, so Streatham and Norbury are a short run up the A23 and Brixton is a little further on.
Prices don't change with the postcode: boiler service £70, CP12 certificate £70, both together £110, repairs from £80 including the first hour.
A few real jobs from the last month, so you can see the sort of thing I deal with:
Much of Lambeth is flats and converted houses, which is where gas work gets awkward. Flues run through parts of the building you can't see. Boilers end up boxed into cupboards without proper ventilation. Upper-floor flats often have flue terminals that can't be reached safely from the ground.
None of that stops the job being done properly, but it does change how it's done. If part of a flue is concealed with no inspection hatch, I write it up as At Risk rather than sign it off blind. That's the correct classification and it protects you as much as me.
Lambeth has one of the highest proportions of private renting in London, so CP12 landlord gas safety certificates are a regular part of the work. Every gas appliance checked, renewed each year, certificate emailed the same day as a PDF (HSE guidance for landlords). If you're an agent managing several flats, we can group them into one visit. See the letting agents page.
Up the A23 through Streatham for most of Lambeth. Mornings are much quicker than afternoons. I work Monday to Thursday, 8am to 6pm, and I'll tell you honestly when I can get there rather than promise a slot I can't keep.
Brixton, Clapham, Streatham, Norbury, Stockwell, Tulse Hill, Vauxhall and West Norwood. That's SW2, SW4, SW8, SW9, SW16 and SE27. If you're near the boundary, call 020 8191 4058 and I'll tell you straight away.
No. Prices are the same everywhere I work: boiler service £70, CP12 £70, both for £110, repairs from £80 including the first hour.
Yes, and it happens often in Lambeth. Where a flue can't be seen or safely reached, I carry out the checks that can be done properly, then record the inaccessible section in the report. I won't sign off a flue I haven't been able to inspect.
Yes, £70 for a standard property, or £110 with a boiler service. Every gas appliance is checked, the certificate is emailed the same day as a PDF, and I'll remind you before the next one is due.
