A lot of the borough is Victorian terraces that have been converted or extended, plus newer flats around Battersea and Wandsworth Town. Two things come up repeatedly.
Bathrooms, hallway cupboards, kitchen units built tight around the case. That matters, because if the case can't be removed properly the boiler can't be serviced properly. I'll tell you if that's the situation rather than doing half a job and charging for a full one.
Larger converted houses often run zoned heating, which can mask faults during a standard service. The Earlsfield job above is a good example: on a cold boiler it looked fine, and only showed the fault under load.

It depends on whether the case can be removed. If the unit is too tight, a proper service isn't possible and I'll say so rather than charge you for a visual check. Often the fix is trimming or removing one panel, which I can talk you through.
Usually within the week for a booked service. It's a longer run than my Croydon work, so same-day is less likely than it is closer to base. I'd rather tell you that up front than let you down.
